Meet Max, a cat who tells stories, collected in a series of humorous, adventure tales full of laughter, tenderness, and escapes in Tails From The Park.

Max has an abundance of hereditary feline curiosity. What starts out as innocent exploration often leads to unintended escapades. He lives with his human Mom and Dad in a mobile home park where life is simple, unless you are a cat.

Full of colorful characters whose sentiments can turn Max from quiet napping intermission to extraordinary mayhem each story sets its own pace.

The Park: Max moves into the Park with his human Mom and Dad.
The Maxtor: Max shares his quirks and qualities detailed.
Monday, Monday: Remember when something happened at school and you didn’t want your Mom to know?
Not Fade Away: Max meets angels.
Baby: The love of his life lures Max into a rescue mission.
Black Dog: A menace, a fight, an end with a licking good twist.
Red Sails: After a visit to the vet with life-changing consequences, Max discovers his inner strength.

Of course, Max has trouble interfacing with computers and their periphery. His best skill is waiting patiently for paper to come out of the printer so he can pounce. He enlists his human friend, Tim Hammill, as an intermediary to put the stories into words.

Curl up for lighthearted entertainment.

Reviews

Tails from the Park is about the escapades of Max, an American shorthair cat. For him every day is a journey of discoveries. He perceives people and the world around him in a unique and simple way. No matter how much he tries to be good trouble seems to always find him. He is friends with some unusual people who live in the park. Max is fierce and loyal to the people he perceives as friends and his enemies should beware.

If a cat could drink beer, then Max would be—the most interesting man in the world. He’s the coolest cat in his (trailer) park and is the master of all he surveys. But don’t get the wrong idea; Max is not arrogant. Okay, maybe a little arrogant. That said he’s got so much personality that you can’t help but love him.  Max is a different kind of literary cat. He doesn’t solve mysteries, except by accident. His people are not doing the storytelling. No, Max just tells it as he sees it in his own inimitable voice. He introduces us to various feline and human inhabitants of the park and describes his adventures with lawn machinery, bikers, butterflies, dogs and more. Take a saunter through Max’s park. I guarantee you’ll enjoy it.

Cats of all shapes and sizes adorn the pages of books today. They sleep, they eat, they provide emotional support, and on occasion, find lost clues. Seldom do you find a feline who can do all of the above and relate the story from his point of view: ten inches off the ground.

Meet Max, a handsome, intelligent fellow, adopted off the mean streets of San Diego by his mom and dad. Max considers the trailer park his home range and almost everyone in it is a friend. It's his job to outwit the mean park administration and to watch over the inhabitants of park, both human and animal. He also serves as watch guard to protect them from the depredations of a gang of feral Russian Blues, living behind the wall.
Max is smart, tough, and incredibly good looking. Author Timothy Hamill has given him a personality you won't be able to resist. After all, Max is a hero and doesn't everyone need a hero?

Max is adorable. I also have a cat, and wonder what he would say if he could talk. What do our cats really think of us? Find out by reading all about Max’s adventures and mischief, which Tim tells from the cat’s point of view. My cat only says “meow”, but Max tells it all.

Do you ever wonder, like me, what a cat thinks about? I am a cat lover and I certainly do. Well, wonder no more!! Tales from the Park will fill you in on just that and more. The author, Tim Hammill, has a unique, playful perspective of the world as seen through the eyes of Max, the cat! I love these short stories. Max is a complex, yet simple cat. He believes he is an Aristocrat born into money, but until you learn of his vocabulary, you realize he is not the Aristocrat he thinks he is. He loves adventure and his curiosity gets him into interesting situations, but he is smart and things seem to work out, but it is not ever easy. He cares for Baby, but they are just friends. I hope they eventually find romance. The encounter and friendship Max has with Black Dog makes you love Black Dog, too. Did you know cats dream?  Max certainly does and in great detail especially when he unknowingly get fixed, but it is for the best! If you are a cat lover, you will love getting to know Max and you cannot help but care for and love him!!
